You can only use one aerial - the EA1 has a length of 3m
Can you use the internal UH8-RF antenna for 1 floor and this extended aerial to be positioned on the 2nd floor? IMI Heatmiser EA1 - Extended Aerial
Another option would be to use 2 antennas. It is to increase the range over 2 floors.
