what does v2 mean Heatmiser neoStat 12v v2 - Programmable Thermostat

I have an existing sytem and wish to add some extra zones. Your code for the existing thermostats was: neoStat 12v Silver batch BB16040125. Your web site is showing two possible models one with the suffics v2 which should I purchase?

There is only 1 model available now, that’s v2
V2 is the 2nd generation model - the changes are available here
